Customer Services Manager - Cannock

We are currently looking to recruit an Customer Services Manager who will be responsible for customer services delivered from the centre to both our external customers and our internal customers (i.e. our depots within the network). To develop a team that provides excellent, first class levels of customer service and to promote this idea throughout the whole of the organisation through the development and implementation of customer service best practice policies and procedures.

There will need to be a flexible approach to working hours and within this role the successful candidate will be expected to travel to sites within our network which could include some overnight stays.

IT Service Desk Technician - Cannock

We are currently looking to recruit an IT Service Desk Technician to provide business focussed support to the APC network. This will include 1st and 2nd line support, incident management, PC and Laptop builds and other reasonable tasks for this type of position. This role will be required to work a shift pattern providing a 24 hour on-site Service Desk as part of a team of five.

Main duties will include:

  • Working as part of the Service Desk team to provide a near round the clock availability to the business including Saturday morning on-line cover.
  • Assisting the IT Team with incident investigation and diagnosis.
  • Building good working relationships with internal and external system providers, contribute to regular service desk reports, identify potential problems and give recommendations.

The successful candidate will have good analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and work in a high pressure environment. Good communication skills are essential. Technical knowledge will include experience of working in an ITIL environment a strong understanding if the latest Windows operating systems. An understanding of Barcode scanning systems and window mobile devices is advantageous.

You will have a “can do” attitude and a qualification in an IT or relevant subject.

• IT Systems/Data Integration Architect - Cannock

We are looking to recruit a Systems/Data Integration Architect. Working closely with the appropriate business areas this role will: ensure that the IT systems and data architecture supports the ongoing changing operational needs of the business, support the integration of legacy and new systems, and take a lead architectural role in large scale business systems integration projects. Specific duties will include: production of quality integration frameworks conforming to APC standards and the maintenance of APC’s data model and data governors, including data availability, confidentiality, security and integrity. You will also assist in the production of plans for project delivery including leading small projects when required.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of IT systems and data architecture in a complex business environment, data/systems management frameworks, excellent communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative. Technical knowledge required include: experience of .NET framework 2.0/3.5, commercial .NET experience preferably in a Windows development environment.

A degree level qualification is essential.

Due to the nature of our business some flexibility will be required with regards to working hours as major user activity takes place overnight.

LGV 1 Driver - Cannock

Due to our growth, we are currently looking to recruit LGV 1 drivers to join the Transport Team, there are positions available on both the night and day operation.

Main duties will include: Collecting and delivering freight to local depots, driving a Tug, moving trailers between sites, general relief driving, and yard marshall duties.

Hours of work will be full-time, Monday to Friday.

The successful applicant will have previous experience and good communication skills. A class 1 licence (C & E), valid digital card are essential and a forklift truck licence would be advantageous.

Hours of work 50 per week Monday to Friday – flexibility is essential due to the nature of the business.

Network Service Co-ordinator - Cannock

Due to our growth, we are currently looking to recruit an additional Network Service Co-ordinator to join the team.

Duties within the role will include liaising with depots and external customers, data inputting, compilation and distribution of miss-sort spreadsheets, preparing memos to our network and action daily discrepancy reports.

You will have professional telephone manner, good problem solving skills, along with excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.

Hours of work will be 37.5 per week (11.00 – 19.00)

Night Operations Supervisor - Cannock

We are currently looking to recruit a Supervisor on our Night Operation to provide Supervisory/leadership within our busy pressurised Warehouse environment. The role will report into and support our Assistant Night Operations Managers and our Night Management team.

Main duties will include: assisting in the coordination and maintaining the efficient operation of the warehouse operation, managing and monitoring the performance and conduct of staff including absence levels and minor performance and conduct issues, assisting in the conducting of investigations, providing a high standard of leadership to the night operation team, and assisting in the recruitment and selection process and in the coordination of daily resource allocation.

The successful applicant will have the ability to manage and motivate a team along with excellent problem solving, communication and management skills. Working experience of health and safety awareness is essential, previous parcel industry experience – desirable.

• Multi-drop Driver - Edinburgh

We currently have vacancies for 3.5t Multi-drop Drivers. The positions will be based at our Newbridge Depot and deliveries will be primarily throughout the Edinburgh region. The number of drops/ collections will vary per day and per route.

The successful candidate will have a full driving licence, previous driving experience, good geographical knowledge of Edinburgh and the surrounding area and a positive attitude.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 45 per week (which includes a 30 minute paid lunch break) and Saturdays on a rota basis. Flexibility is essential as from time to time there will be the requirement to work additional hours to cover holidays and sickness and during peak trading periods.
